Competency #4 RSS Feeds
I selected this feed because it offers information regarding books for children. Parents can also preview the titles and view different links associated with the featured titles. Parents as well as students are always looking for books and this feed will serve as another source of information.

# 3 Competency
Please get acquainted with Bertie the Frog and Natasha at Storynory.com. This delightful site presents a new audio story each week which is read by Natasha. There are 75 children's stories, some of which are classic fairy tales such as Cinderella, Snow White, and the Ginger Bread Man. Listen as Natasha tells the story of how Prince Bertie becomes a frog. I selected this podcast because it has classic children's fairy tales and the reader has a wonderful English accent that will capture your attention. I did a Google search for children's literature podcasts.

# 2 Competency
Jen Robinson's Book Page
http://jkrbooks.typepad.com/blog/
Among the topics: what questions to ask when children have trouble understanding what they're reading; how to get children to understand reading homework; how to motivate them to read; and recommended books for parents and children.
"This site is for anyone who has an interest in raising children who love books. It is for librarians and teachers, and parents and aunts and uncles and grandparents. And it is for people like me, who believe that the world will be a better place if more children grow up with the opportunity to love books." Jen Robinson

Introduction
This blog has been created for Dr. Hilbun's 5013.22 Information Storage and Retrieval class. My purpose is to design a blog that I can use as a tool for an online children's book club, or discussion group. My library type of interest is the elementary school library.
